Following the welcome reception Thursday evening, representatives from the Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine (Board) will present an informational session on recent changes made to the veterinary establishment inspection process. The Board is conducting a pilot program from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013, relating to the disposition of violation(s) found during a routine inspection. The purpose of the pilot program is to provide a year-long time period for the licensees of the Board to become familiar with the changes to the routine inspection process and to collect data to evaluate the point ranges and the corresponding possible action. The informational session will provide details about the pilot program and an opportunity to ask questions about the inspection process.
